Alexandria, Va. – Goodwin House Incorporated (GHI) announced today that finance and investments expert Vipin Sahijwani has been elected to its Board of Trustees. Sahijwani is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Lynx Investment Advisory, a Washington, D.C. based and SEC-registered, independent investment advisory firm specializing in asset allocation, investment manager research and performance analysis. He chairs the Lynx Investment Committee, leads the manager selection efforts and manages the Lynx Global Real Asset Fund.
“Vipin is a leader that brings that rich blend of heart and head to his passions, which include investment and portfolio management and affordable housing for low, moderate and workforce homeowners,” said Mary Lewis Hix, chair of the Goodwin House Incorporated Board of Trustees. “We are grateful to Vipin for bringing his knowledge of both these areas to help further the Goodwin House mission and ensure that older adults of all income levels in this region have access to safe and affordable options for their retirement.”
Sahijwani has over 18 years of experience in portfolio management, investment modeling, market analysis and econometrics. With his election to the Goodwin House Incorporated Board, Sahijwani joins regional leaders in health policy, financial services, insurance and other fields of expertise who contribute to the GHI mission to support, honor and uplift the lives of older adults and those who care for them.

Sahijwani currently serves on the board of Heritage Housing Partners, a non-profit committed to providing affordable housing in Howard County, Maryland. In addition, he serves on the board of the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI), a non-profit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to research at the intersection of religion, values and public life, and Sahijwani is a member of the community leadership board of the YMCA in Howard County, Maryland.
Sahijwani holds credentials as both a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM). He received a Master of Business from The George Washington University, where he was awarded the International Student of the Year award. He also has a master’s degree in market research and forecasting from the Center for Management Development in India, and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from The University of Delhi, India.
The Goodwin House Incorporated Board guides the governance and strategic directions of the organization. GHI is in year three of a strategic plan that is focused on growing its mission and serving more older adults across the National Capital Region. More than 2,000 older adults are now served daily by the Goodwin House Life Plan Communities and a growing portfolio of health care services supporting older adults who are aging in place in their homes throughout Northern Virginia.
