Goodwin House Incorporated, Peterson Companies Announce Senior Living Campus for Avonlea in Loudoun County

Premier Northern Virginia Senior Living Operator brings its Nonprofit, Mission-based Approach to Loudoun County

Alexandria, VA – Two Northern Virginia organizations with reputations for quality and excellence have announced their collaboration to bring a senior living campus to Avonlea, which is located in Loudoun County, Va. Goodwin House Incorporated (GHI), a premier senior living and health care services organization that supports, honors and uplifts more than 2,200 older adults across Northern Virginia, will develop and operate the senior living community in Avonlea. Peterson Companies, which has developed exceptional local communities since 1965, is the master developer of Avonlea.

“Over the next 20 years, the number of older adults needing high quality, financially accessible senior living in our country will nearly double, and Loudoun County will see its population of older adults grow faster than any other area in Northern Virginia,” said Rob Liebreich, GHI President & CEO. “We see these growing demographics of older adults and believe our mission calls us to find additional ways to support, honor and uplift the lives of older adults and those who care for them through the development of a not-for-profit senior living community at the Avonlea.”

This new GHI senior living community is scheduled to open in Spring 2025. In addition to offering Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Support, the new GHI community will feature a variety of GHI wellness and brain health programs to ensure residents live to their fullest every day, including StongerMemory, Medicare-certified Home Health and Hospice. GHI invites interested parties to stay current on the proposed senior community at the webpage for the Chantilly location, https://www.seniorlivingloudoun.org.

“Goodwin House Inc. looks forward to providing high value and quality senior living to older adults in Loudoun County and the surrounding areas,” said Liebreich. “As a Washington Post top ten employer for the last three years, Goodwin House Inc. also looks forward to providing attractive job and career opportunities and benefits to Loudoun County citizens.”

The GHI senior living campus will be part of a new master-planned community that offers senior housing, retail and commercial businesses, market rate apartments and convenient medical offices. Centrally located between Tall Cedars Parkway and Route 50, Avonlea will also feature easy access to dozens of amenities, including shopping complexes, senior centers and outdoor activities.

“At Peterson Companies, we strive to create developments that benefit all who live and work in our region,” stated Taylor O. Chess, President of Development at Peterson Companies. “This exceptional senior living community and the related support services and programs by Goodwin House Inc. will fill an important need in Loudoun County.”
