Goodwin Living Named #2 Top Washington-Area Workplace

Ranking Marks Sixth Consecutive Year Goodwin Living Makes Annual List Published by The Washington Post

Alexandria, VA, June 24, 2024 – Goodwin Living, a leading provider of senior living and healthcare services in the National Capital Region, has been named No. 2 on the list of The Washington Post 2024 Top Workplaces. The organization is ranked in the largest company category. This marks the sixth consecutive year that Goodwin Living has been recognized as a Top Workplace, and the organization has made the list every year it opted to participate in the survey that determines rankings.

The annual Top Workplaces list is determined by employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution, and connection.

The consistent ranking Goodwin Living holds among the top workplaces is a testament to the organization’s dedication to its mission and values.

"Being named a Top Workplace for the sixth year in a row is a tremendous honor," said Rob Liebreich, President and CEO of Goodwin Living. "Our team members are at the heart of our success. Their passion, dedication and commitment to residents, members, patients and to one another make Goodwin Living an exceptional place to work. This recognition reinforces our belief that a welcoming and empowering workplace culture translates into outstanding service and care."

Goodwin Living employs more than 1,200 individuals who represent more than 65 different countries. The organization offers team members a comprehensive benefits package that includes several unique offerings made possible thanks to the generosity of donors to the Goodwin Living Foundation. These include a pioneering citizenship program, which assists team members and their immediate family members in obtaining U.S. citizenship. In January of this year, Goodwin Living also announced a student loan repayment program specifically for clinical team members, alleviating financial burdens and encouraging professional growth.

Through its diverse and dedicated workforce, Goodwin Living touches the lives of more than 2,500 older adults in the National Capital Region through its range of senior living and healthcare services. Goodwin Living offers three Life Plan Communities – which include two nursing care centers that are five-star rated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services; an age-in-place program, Goodwin Living At Home; and Medicare-certified services provided by Goodwin Home Health, Goodwin Rehabilitation and Goodwin Hospice. In addition, Goodwin Living serves more than 25,000 older adults across the U.S. with its StrongerMemory brain health program, available at no cost through the support of the Goodwin Living Foundation.

The Washington Post hosted an awards ceremony on June 20, 2024 to recognize the top-ranked companies in the Greater Washington Area. For more about The Washington Post’s Top Workplaces and to see the full list of this year’s honorees, visit https://topworkplaces.com/award/washington/2024/.
