You know the importance of staying healthy in mind, body and spirit. In practice, however, it can be difficult to find the time and opportunities for living an active life, with exercise, meditation and nutritional support. That’s not a problem at Bailey’s Crossroads, where our physical and spiritual wellness programs are innovative, fun and within reach because they’re easily available, right where you live.
Staying active at Bailey’s Crossroads is a pleasure, not a chore. Our fitness instructors can tailor a program to your needs and help you take advantage of our many classes and amenities. These include:
A balanced diet is the opposite of a boring diet. Tasty, seasonal dishes and the occasional decadent treat are literally what the doctor ordered! Residents who cook for themselves can tailor their diets with the help of a nutritionist. Trips to local markets give you the chance to pick out fresh, locally sourced produce, just like our chefs do. Or you can sit back and let us serve you, with vegetarian, low-sodium and gluten-free options on all menus and dining venues open from 7 AM to 8 PM daily.
As a faith-based community, Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads welcomes residents and team members from all traditions and beliefs. As well as interdenominational services in the chapel, there are Episcopal, Roman Catholic, Unitarian and Jewish services on-site. Our chaplain is always available for spiritual advice and support.
As with nutrition and physical wellness, our definition of the spiritual life is broad and holistic. Many residents find spiritual fulfillment through a resident engagement program, participating in volunteer work both within our own community and across the region.
