Prestigious National Distinction Highlights Excellence in Quality Metrics, Peer Recommendations, Accreditations and Satisfaction at Goodwin House Alexandria and Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads

(Alexandria, Va.) —  Goodwin House Alexandria (GHA) and Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads (GHBC) have been recognized by Newsweek in its “America’s Best Nursing Homes 2027” national rankings. Announed Sept. 30, the recognition reinforces both GHA’s and GHBC’s reputation as benchmark-leading care communities providing exceptional medical and rehabilitation services to older adults in the National Captial Region.

Significantly, GHA ranked #2 and GHBC ranked #3 in the entire state of Virginia for best Health Care Centers. The rankings will be featured in the upcoming print edition of Newsweek.

Newsweek’s annual rankings, evaluated in partnership with global data research firm Statista, recognize top-performing nursing homes across the nation to assist families in navigating senior care choices. The ranking’s evaluated 14,693 nursing homes across the United States. Its methodology places additional emphasis on peer recommendations, family satisfaction and new quality measures such as vaccination rates. Approximately 1,325 nursing homes were recognized this year, including 32 from across the Commonwealth of Virginia.
