Big news at Goodwin Living!

We’ve welcomed Herralink, the incredible volunteer program that brings high school students into senior living communities to build real connections across generations. Isabella Solano, who founded @Herralink in 2023, now leads the program as our newest Program Manager.

She launched Herralink to combat loneliness and spark joy through weekly visits, games, art and conversation. In just one year, she connected more than 700 students with older adults. Now we’re expanding that impact across all Goodwin Living campuses.

Together, we’re building a future rooted in presence, purpose and relationships.

Two days of learning, connection and creativity. Jessica and Sam from the Brain Health Team led a powerful Dementia & Alzheimer’s training that blended expert insight with meaningful moments.
Team members explored key topics like the stages of dementia, communication strategies, managing behaviors and supporting emotional well-being.
To keep energy high and illustrate the power of play and music, the training included ping pong breaks and a sing-along—reminders of music’s deep connection to memory. #GoodwinLiving #SeniorLiving #DementiaAwareness #AlzheimersEducation

Mamie’s journey with Goodwin Living began as a paid intern in one of our programs funded by the Goodwin Living Foundation. Through this experience, she developed a passion for working with older adults and supporting those who care for them.

Inspired by the mission and the meaningful connections she built, Mamie chose to stay with us full-time as an administrative assistant with the Goodwin Living Foundation. Now, she helps connect fellow team members to Foundation-supported programs that uplift and support their careers—just as her internship did for her.
