The Washington Post Names Goodwin Living a Top Workplace for Seventh Consecutive Year

Alexandria, VA, June 19, 2025 – Goodwin Living, a faith-based not-for-profit senior living and healthcare services organization in the National Capital Region, has once again earned a place on The Washington Post’s list of Top Workplaces. At an awards ceremony hosted by The Washington Post on June 18, Goodwin Living received the #3 ranking in the largest company category.

This marks the seventh consecutive year that Goodwin Living has been recognized as a Washington Post Top Workplace and reflects its ongoing commitment to creating a meaningful and inclusive workplace culture. Goodwin Living has appeared on the list every year since 2019, when it first decided to participate in the annual employee engagement survey that determines the rankings.

Earlier this year, Goodwin Living was also recognized at the national level, earning the #13 spot on USA Today’s list of Top 100 Workplaces in the United States.

Both rankings are based entirely on feedback from team members, collected through a confidential, third-party survey administered by Energage, LLC. The survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection.

“This recognition belongs to our team members,” said Rob Liebreich, President and CEO of Goodwin Living. “We are fortunate to have a team that is both deeply dedicated and rich with diversity. Their care, talent and commitment create a workplace where people feel valued and supported. Being named a Top Workplace reflects how our team members feel about working here, and that means everything to us.”

Goodwin Living employs more than 1,450 individuals across Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. who represent over 70 countries. Team members receive a robust benefits package that includes several unique programs supported by generous donors to the Goodwin Living Foundation. These innovative programs include the citizenship assistance program for team members and their families, a student loan repayment program that supports clinical team members in advancing their careers and an emergency grant program.

Through the work of its diverse and growing team, Goodwin Living serves more than 4,000 older adults every day across the region. Its offerings include four Life Plan Communities (three in Virginia and one in Washington, D.C.), a comprehensive age-in-place program (Goodwin Living At Home), and Medicare-certified services provided through Goodwin Home Health, Goodwin Rehabilitation and Goodwin Hospice. Its national brain health initiative, StrongerMemory, now reaches more than 58,500 older the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.

Goodwin Living team members from all areas of the organization gathered to celebrate the achievement.
