Goodwin Living was honored to host Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Day at Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads this week! ✨
CPE programs from across the DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia region came together for a day of learning, reflection and connection. Students, educator candidates and certified educators shared space to exchange ideas and strengthen the future of spiritual care.
Under the leadership of Jonathan and Syazana, Goodwin Living’s CPE program continues to be recognized as a leader in the region. Hosting this gathering for the second year reflects a shared commitment to meaningful work that supports individuals, families and communities.

Chef Najwa brought something truly special to our Women Chefs of Goodwin House Bailey`s Crossroads celebration for Women’s History Month. 👩🍳
Her action station was a favorite among residents, who loved the food and the chance to connect with her. Chef Najwa shared her story, speaking about her journey as a chef and a mother, which made the experience even more meaningful.
Her warmth and authenticity left a lasting impression on everyone who stopped by. We are proud to celebrate Chef Najwa and the incredible women who bring so much heart to our Dining Services team every day. 💚

Goodwin Living Small House residents and their loved ones gathered for a special St. Patrick’s Day lunch featuring made-to-order pasta and plenty of good company. 🍀

Goodwin House Alexandria (GHA) was home to a Top Chef-style showdown last week! 🥘
Three star chefs competed for the top prize at GHA and the honor of advancing to our upcoming campus-wide competition.
Chef Lydia, Chef Osayande and Chef Ashley had two hours to create beautiful and unique dishes for our resident judges, including a crab-stuffed shrimp appetizer, perfectly seared proteins and stunning seasonal salads.
In the end, Chef Osayande was declared the GHA winner and will compete for the title of Top Chef of Goodwin Living in just a few weeks. Stay tuned!
