Goodwin Living™ Elects Albert J. Browne, Kimberly Fiske, Rev. Frank Wade and Sally White to Board of Trustees

Alexandria, Va. – Today, Goodwin Living™, a faith-based, not-for-profit, senior living and healthcare services organization in the National Capital Region, announced that Albert (Al) J. Browne, Kimberly (Kim) Fiske, Rev. Frank Wade and Sally White have been elected to its Board of Trustees. Together, the four new trustees bring deep expertise across healthcare innovation, law, public policy, faith leadership and aging services, further strengthening Goodwin Living governance and strategic leadership.

As a not-for-profit, faith-based organization, Goodwin Living has been led by a volunteer Board of Trustees since opening its first senior living community in 1967. The Goodwin Living Board of Trustees guides the governance and strategic direction of the organization. Today, more than 4,000 older adults are served annually by a growing portfolio of senior living and healthcare services supporting older adults in the National Capital Region.

Al Browne Bio

Al J. Browne currently serves as Director at Johns Hopkins University & Medicine, supporting Community Health Design + Innovation, the Impact Accelerator and the Center for Digital Health and AI faculty. An executive and strategist with more than 25 years of experience, Al has worked at the intersection of business, health, technology and education. His previous roles include Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility at Verizon, Vice President of Community Development, Business and Technology Integration at the Community Preservation and Development Corporation and Director at AARP. He holds a Master of Science in Forensic Anthropology and Psychology from John Jay College and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Washington Adventist University.

Kim Fiske Bio

Kim Fiske is a partner at Fiske Law Group, PLLC, bringing extensive experience in estate planning and nonprofit governance. Her career includes work with Truist Bank Trust Department, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and private practice. Recognized by her peers as an AV-Preeminent attorney, Kim is a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation and has served on numerous boards, including the Goodwin Living Foundation since 2014. She earned her Juris Doctor from George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School and holds an undergraduate degree with honors in Economics from Ohio University.

Frank Wade Bio

The Rev. Frank Wade has served as an Episcopal priest since 1966 and currently serves on the faculty of Virginia Theological Seminary. His past leadership roles include interim dean of Washington National Cathedral and rector of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Washington, DC. A graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary and The Citadel, Frank has also had several sermons published in anthologies, including Rites of Our Passage. Frank has been a resident of Goodwin House Alexandria since 2012.

Sally White Bio

Sally White is Chair of the 2025 LeadingAge DC Board of Directors and brings more than 35 years of experience in aging services organizations. She previously served as Executive Director of Iona Senior Services for 12 years and as Executive Director of the Greater Washington Partnership for Palliative and End-of-Life Care. Sally also served for a decade as Co-Chair of the DC Senior Advisory Coalition. She holds a bachelor of arts from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree of family and community development from the University of Maryland.
